Adam Klein, a baker, born Germany c.1858, was sentenced to 4 yrs penal servitude for wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm at the Old Bailey on 8 May 1899.

He's in Parkhurst in 1901.

Charles Tertius Green, born Leicester Q4 1867, son of William and Sarah M, was a solicitor. In 1891 he's living with his parents (recorded as Charles P), but in 1901 he's a convict inmate at Portland Convict Establishment, Dorset.

Printer, now red hot saving all of this info.

I got them 35+ years ago, been sitting in box, passed on to me from relative.

Can anyone tell me, please....do I wipe them over with soft damp cloth to tidy them up? Lots of spots etc as you can see....or best to leave as they are.

Old Bailey records?  maybe I will be lucky enough to find the others there...How do I start?

Noticed on sleeve of Klein a star ??  is that significant ?
