Mary Walters bn St Issells 1778
« on: Sunday 03 July 11 20:40 BST (UK) »
She married a widower Isaac Welsh 4-3-1815 at Begally/Begelly/Bengally.

But I have no idea where she came from.  They had a daughter Ann born 1818 in St Issels.

I have Mary on the 1841 Census (a widow) and the 1861 census.

Any further information would be appreciated

Was she also a widow when she married Isaac or a spinster - she was 37 in 1815

A good thought.  Because I didn't note that she was a widow I haven't thought about that, but there was a handy widow Mary Walters (of Cornelius who died in 1812 in St Issells).  Off to get his will,  thanks Carole

As Mary is not noted a widow at her mrge to Isaac, and there is no Wa(l)ter mrge at St Issells that would appear to fit Mary's parents I wonder if Mary was the daughter of Thomas Walters who mrd Anne Lewis at Ludchurch in 1775.
Unfortunately there are no references in any will proven in the parish of Ludchurch 1600 to 1858 of the surname Wa(l)ter that could assist you.
