Children include: Mary Anne died aged 14 months at Kilronan, InisMor. Eileen Marian possibly born at the Dublin police barracks is my gr-grandmother. Winifred was born on Aran Isles. James was born in Dingle. Mary Anne and following siblings (Maryanne, James, Patrick, Bridget, Catherine, Terence, Bridget, Andrew, Gerald, Thomas, Peter) were born at Castle Gregory/Cloghane, Kerry. Winifred and Mary Anne both emmigrated to New Zealand as did my gr-grandmother Eileen. Any assistance/contact with "cousins" greatly appreciated.

There are some possible baptisms for your Sheridan/Manning family on the IrishGenealogy website - see : link

This looks like the family on the 1901 census in Galway city - except most of the children are listed as being born in Galway not Kerry :

O My Goodness... yes it does... the names are certainly the same but the childrens DOB are out by between 3 and 6 years. I shall look back at their christening dates (although definate dates they must have been youngsters not babies. Thank you so much.

RC baptisms usually took place quite soon after the birth - sometimes even the same day. Ages given on later documents like census returns and death certs can be inaccurate.

Do you have Terence's father's name from the 1863 marriage ?

I do not have the marriage certificate as I still have not found the place they were wed. I have taken the marriage date of 16/5/1863 from his RIC register extract. This also states Terence's native county as Meath Dublin. It is the first time I have had any knowledge of Mary Annes place of birth (Mayo) on the 1901 census you sent me. I believe it was usually expected the marriage would take place in the wifes native county. ANY info/suggestions you could send me would be greatfully received. Cheers.
