Thomas Procter/Proctor/Prockter of Pudsey, Yorkshire, England
« on: Monday 27 June 11 21:09 BST (UK) »
Anyone have any information on this person who was born approximately 1814 in Pudsey, England.

He had a wife named Mary, possibly Mary "Jee" was her maiden name, not sure.  They had a child named Mary Procter who was born 10 Dec 1846 in Pudsey, England.  Mary was married in 1875 to a John Anderson.  She died in Massachusetts, USA around 28 Nov 1912.

Any information on the potential parents of Thomas Procter would be helpful.   Thank you way ahead of time!!!

Forrest

I have gone here but still no luck to find the connection between Thomas and his potential parentage.  I have searched through all the church records with no luck.  Not sure if there are other sites out there.
thank you

For Pudsey nothing else I am afraid.
(Could it have been a non conformist birth) - non church of england church baptism?
Baptist/Methodist is an example.
What info have you got, does it list church.
What about 'paid for subscription sites', although some of the transcribers can't spell for toffee!!!

Hi,
I may have found some info.
If Thomas' name was actually John Thos. Prockter, then his parents would be John and Maria Prockter.  However not sure if either is correct.

Thomas was married to Mary, I thought at St. Peter church, but found some info which leads me to believe it could be St. Thomas at Stanningley instead.

I have a subscription to Ancestry.com and have found some possible leads, but nothing concrete.
I appreciate your help.

If you want to send me a personal message with your e mail address I could then check all my records against what you do know.
St Peter's Church (Leeds) records are on the Genuki website http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/WRY/index.html
You could look at Leeds or Calverley records that are there.
 Regards Brian
Ps I don't have a sub to paid website, I deal only with paper records.
