The Inscription reads -
"Erected by Joseph and William Tait in memory of their mother Marion Thomson who died 20th September 1860 aged 82 years. Joseph Tait senior who died November 1866 aged 57 years. William Tait died (8th) May 1887 aged 72 years".
This a a very large plot belonging to the Tait family, there are 2 other headstones on it.
The Plot Book has the owners as William & Joseph Tait and James Tait & Mary Rae.
