Diane and friends,
I am so sad today, to hear the news that we've lost such a kindhearted, cheerful and strong friend of ours, to the big internet cafe in the sky. It still amazes me that most of us posting on this thread did not even meet Diane, but we knew her well enough in this community to know she was one of the best around. Always helping, always watching for an opportunity to help others achieve a breakthrough, when sometimes she couldn’t for herself.
In death, there is a peace, they say, a timid wind on trails now trodden,
Where footsteps walked and ran away, but memories aren’t forgotten,
Where blackbirds bow their heads in sorrow, and trees they arch in disbelief
In hope that as we wake tomorrow, those memories will calm our grief.
Your friendly presence resonated, with all who knew you here,
Who’d ever think that oceanwide, you’d touch us all so dear,
The laughs were plenty, tears a few, you’ve made your mark for sure,
Your chatroom chair still sits amongst us, a warmful welcome at the door.
So as the cities glow a’sleeping, so shall you glow too, Diane,
Aloft you fly amongst the angels, keeping Heaven spick and span,
Around the world and all in rootschat, we’ll fix a flame and burn it bright,
And in our own united tone, we weep for you, and say goodnight.
Goodbye Yorvick. I’m going to miss you. You showed me so much kindness that together with your jokes really made an impact. Sleep tight.
Matt.
