I went to school at Gourock Eastern just across the road from Darroch Park. Many old stone buildings were still apparent on the right-hand side of the burn. Returned in 2016 for my 70th. and walked through all the tracks/trails including finding the waterfall, where we used to suck on the icicles! Found the mausoleum away up the back, surrounded by a fence. Found a way through and you can see many of the grave stones and inscriptions. A bit off request, but so many memories I couldn't resist.
P.S. What used to be a massive greenhouse, just through the big entrance, is now a childrens dream, of birds and animals. Well worth a visit.
