Hi Judy again,
what I know is that Ignaz Erl who lived with his wife Sabine in Waldsassen had two boys and a girl. All three children are still living in Waldsassen today. The girl was born in 1936, she is the youngest of this 3. About the former children from Ignaz Erl (they were 6) I only know that they died, two of them lived in the States (Mary and Grete or Margret?); one girl, called Ernestine (Dine) lived in Mitterteich (which is just a few minutes from Waldsassen). Dine also had two daughters. They are married and actually I dont know the names. There was also a boy named Joseph and the others – I dont know, one must be your husband`s great grandfather. Isn`t it?

Hi again rookie;  The Josef you mentioned was my husband's grandfather, but his birthdate was 1907.   He was the son of Ignaz and his first wife - unfortunately I don't have her name.

We are trying to find family beyond Ignaz's generation - my father in law does not remember any of the names, so we do not have many leads.

My husband knew Grete and Marie, his great aunts.  They lived in Pittsburg, Ohio.

How are you related to the family??
