Wow, thank you John.

I have only just read your post.

There is a puzzle in itself. I had assumed that David and Annie had parted. I wasn't aware that she had died.

Sarah was his second wife as per a death notice for a son George who died in 1944.

I shall have to report back to my cousin with this interesting news.

Thank you.

Kindest regards
Amanda

Hi Amanda,

Alice Eliz married in 1933. Details sent per PM as less than 80 yrs ago.

She died 1991 and is buried at Waikumete, as is her husband.

Hi

David married Annie in Bradford and they moved to New Zealand where she died in 1916 and David then married Sarah in 1917 (information kindly supplied by other generous contributors)

Kindest regards
Amanda

Hi Amanda,

You might be interested in this link to details of the memorial of George Child, son of David and Annie, who served with RAF bomber command and was killed on active service in an aircraft accident in Yorkshire 1944.

There is more information on George Child at Cenotaph site
http://www.rootschat.com/links/0dza/
including photos of parents David and Annie's headstone.  :o

Also another plaque that is hard to read - I think one name is Elizabeth.

Hope this helps
