Could some kind person search the Larne census for details of James Russell(a tailor born around 1835) and Margaret Whiteford and their eleven children.
One of the sons named Sammy Russell migrated to Australia and married. However he promptly abandoned this new but unfortunate wife on the grounds that he had been drunk when he agreed to marry and went to Cape Town to where his brother Jimmy( my grandfather) had migrated in 1902. Sammy died there in 1918/19 from the Black Flu and was buried in Simonstown. Can anyone throw some light on the baulde Sammy?
