Hi Rachel,
Its Michael again, I am having a little trouble in working out what is and what is not allowed! I notice you saw the photo of my family before it was removed, yes my mother, the lady in the centre is a Dennigan. Also attached to that post was a PDF of my family tree, but I will summarise for you.
Grandfather - James Dennigan 1895-1948 married Jane Thomas 1908-1961
GGF - James Dennigan 1827-? married Mary Anne Burke 1862-? This couple had seven children, Joseph 1882, Thomas 1884, Michael 1887, Annie May 1890, James 1895, Elizabeth 1897 and John 1899. - I have a copy of marriage certificate, James has his father listed as Richard Dennigan.
GGGF - Richard Dinnigen or Dennigan
The family farm was in Ballyclare, in the 1835 Tithe records, Richard Dinnigan is the registered leasee, so I assume they are one and the same person.
I am not worried over the spelling of Dennigan, 1835 Tithe its Dinnigan, on the 1881 wedding certificate its Dennigan, 1901 Census it is Denigan, 1911 Census its Denigan, on James GF wedding certificate its Dennigan and I am certain they are all who I think they are!
When I get my scanner working, I will post a photo of the farm house (it has since been demolished) and a copy of the map showing where it was located.
Michael
