Have you located Mary on the 1911 census ?

I'm not seeing any potential marriage matches in the Abbeyleix registration district, so wondering if maybe they married somewhere nearby - where Mary was living..

Hello there,
I haven't found Mary on the 1911 census,I noticed a Mary lonergan in kilkenny age 17 domestic servant, but she was born in kilkenny, and too young.

I think you are correct with the marriage of Patrick and Mary in Abbeyleix 1918.

I vaguely remember my mother mentioning Mary (aunt maisie) as having the name Cullen, though how right that is i cant say,as my mother was quite ill by then, and tended to get things muddled.

I did wonder if Mary or Patrick had been married before,as son William was born 1914 and daughter Mary was born 1912, their next child was Margaret born 1918  and there were 5 more after ,including my mother Hester.
I can't imagine them waiting till 1918 to marry, maybe thats why i cant find Mary.Lonergan.I have tried putting in the name Cullen, but haven't found anything  .

Still ,I must Thank you Shanew,as i beleive the marriage you found is correct,I take my hat off to you,it would have taken me a long time to find(if ever).
