STILL trying to track my great-grandmother Sarah Kelly down.

Firstly they asked me which Volume I wanted, I hadn't realised there was more than one volume and when I decided that maybe the Deansgate volume was the most promising they told me that due to work going on in Central Library they could not lend the books out at the moment and to try again in December.

Any other kind person have access to these Directories to do a look up for me?

DIRECTORY OF IRISH BORN PEOPLE LIVING IN MANCHESTER IN 1861

1) Sarah Kelly mother & widow age 60 born County down
22 Back Irwell street, Deansgate.

2) Sarah Kelly Mother-in-law widow age 60
9 Lower Ormod Street, Chorlton on Medlock.

3) Sarah Kelly sister  unmarried age 28
16 German street, Ancoats.

Your welcome, was any of them the lady you were looking for?
If so i could post the rest of the residents at any address she was at 1861 for you.

I'm afraid on looking at the dates and ages I don't think any could be her.  She was born in Ireland in 1853 so she would only have been around 8 years old at that time - if she was in Manchester even by then.

Of course one of them could have been her mother whose husband was called Michael Kelly.
