FTM 2011
« on: Wednesday 15 June 11 18:05 BST (UK) »
I have just started a new tree on FTM. Already having a few on there. The new one has not got a line for the description sections- the part in the editing panel under Date then place. Where do I find it please? it is driving me crazy, I have looked everywhere I can think of!!

Hi,
It's an option against each individual fact and is found under the Fact Properties.

From the People/Person workspace right click on the fact that you want to add a description to and then select the fact properties. You should then see a radio button that will allow you to select either "Date/Place", "Date/Place/Description" or "Description only".

Alternatively you can select Edit/Manage Facts from the main toolbar, i.e. "File, Edit, View...", select the fact you're interested in and then click on the "Properties" button. You should then see the radio button option described above.

Regards,
Ian.

 Ian, nice one, job sorted.
I searched the little book that comes with the CD and could find no explanation. Yours was very simple and strait forward, even I could follow it.
Many many thanks.
