Doing an address search for Back Croft Street (I also tried variations!) anywhere in Lancashire in 1881 comes up with just 1 hit - Ashton under Lyne.

I have looked at all the families listed - no Stephenson (or variation).

Padsiham is in Burnley district, but Croft Street in Burnley only goes up to number 58.

Croft Street in Manchester only shows houses 6 to 9.

In fact none of the streets beginning Croft have a house number anywher near 99?

I am trying to pursue her husband James Jones who says he was born in Holywell in 1861 but I have sent for every birth certificate for that year in Holywell and none are correct,will

What was the name of his father on the marriage certificate?

The 1891 census says he is aged 30, so he could have been born in 1860?

I have a record for what appears to be her great grandfather( Henry Stevenson)  living in Whalley Burnley in 1841in Backcroft Street But no number recorded

Thats the one , but didn't think she would be married from that address as they were married in miles platting manchester and his address was 7 nelson street miles platting

think you've now said the addresses, Nelson St and Back Croft St.

He's quite consistent with his name and place of birth, 1860 Holywell Flintshire.   

In 1901 they're at 38 Nelson St, so didn't move far.
