COMPLETE : SHAW's of Betchton
« on: Tuesday 14 June 11 14:21 BST (UK) »
Is anyone researching the SHAW family of Betchton.
My connection is via Ann Shaw, I believe the daughter of Richard Shaw (Butcher) of Betchton, Sandbach.  There was also a brother Richard (a butcher).
Ann had Thomas, George, John and Richard as a spinster and then went on to marry George Cornes and have further family.
Her father Richard Shaw would have been born around 1780 ish
Have found the following:-
Richard to Ralph Shaw 14th January, 1780 and Richard to Thomas Shaw 25th February, 1781
Cannot confirm my details...

Can anyone help ????

Many thanks.

Morning,

Thank you for your response.  Unfortunately, I still have not confirmed if Ann's father Richard was the son of Ralph or Richard........   We may well be related in previous generations.  I will keep your contact details on file and if I get confirmation of the address I will be in touch.

For your interest.  Have you had a look at the Postles Family Tree Site.  Just google it.  The Postles married into the Shaw family and there is quite a lot of information for the Shaw's if you can confirm the connection.  I am sure the Richard Shaw in this family tree is part of mine, but I just do not have the firm connection at the moment.

Regards, and again many thanks...
