Thanks down-under for that Census info regarding young Nancy Hedges.

Interesting that Eliza wife of James Hedgis was born in Stanstead because Thomas Flack and family, including Dives were in Stanstead at Census time in 1871 and 1881 and no doubt at other times over the years.  I would imagine that the paths of the Flacks and Hedges crossed many times at various places.

In the 1871 Census the Flack abode was: Caravan on Brentfield Green, Stanstead.
In the 1881 Census the abode was: Netherfield Lane. Stanstead.

Regards.
Concentrating currently on:
Essex: Card, Harris, Stowell, Theobald/Tibbles & Turner.
Norfolk: Beale, Cork & Dalton.
Yorkshire: Oswald Sturdy birth/baptism c1708, Oswald where the devil are you?
