Not sure if the following will help but here goes anyway 

Register Office, Chelmsford, Essex
23 Feb 1892 Dives FLACK 23 years bachelor hawker of Chelmsford son of Thomas Flack horsedealer and Nancy HEDGES 21 years spinster of Chelmsford dau of Job Hedges, deceased, hawker Wits: Edward Fewell and Mary Ann Fewell.

I haven't followed up on the Hedges clan so have no idea where Nancy came from.

Councellatta (Connie), daughter of Dives and Nancy Flack married my great uncle Arthur Searles, Connie was a Romany but Arthur wasn't.

Thomas Flack appeared to be based in Writtle when not on the road, Thomas was described as a Hawker in another census.

Some of the Flacks appeared to have settled around the Braintree area.

As I stated I'm not sure if the info will help you but there might be a clue somewhere in it.
