Looking for a bicycle shop

Hi

I know this is a long shot.  A relative Ambrose J. Byrne, know as Joe apparently, had a bicycle shop in Dublin.  I'm trying to find its address.  Ambrose was born 1890/91 and died in October 1943.  Given his age at death (i.e. under retirement age), I imagine the shop was operating around then.  Is there any chance it is findable in Thom's?

Thoms lists but one Ambrose Byrne at 218 Collins Avenue without any occupation being stated. (Thoms 1942).
No occupation is given for any of the J. Byrnes.
Due to wartime conditions there must have been many people in the bicycle repair business,not all within radar view.

Many thanks for your help.  The Ambrose at 83 Bride St looks interesting, especially with cycle shops in the vicinity.  I don't suppose there are any names associated with those shops?  I checked the electoral register and note Catherine and Kathleen Byrne also at that address.  I have those names as, respectively, daughter and wife of a brother of Ambrose.  It could be coincidence or my original information about the relationships was wrong.  From the electoral register, 83 Bride St looks as if it was a tenement with at least four families living there.  Does Thom's have any names for that address?

I'll double check Thom's '38 this evening, but I think No. 83 was a tenement.

Nearest Thoms I have is for 1942 and No.83 is in tenements.
Note that there are 2 Cycle Depots within 10 doors of No.83. Almost the same entries in Thoms 1934.

Many thanks.   I hope to check out my relative's marriage details to see if he is the Bride Street Ambrose Byrne.  He certainly looks like the most obvious candidate.
