Death Lookup Please

Is it possible to look up a death in 1983?? If so can someone give
me the site to look up Please

Hi Roz,

The BDM indexes are kept seperately for each state and the dates vary as to what years are publicly available for each state.  Often you will have more success with looking for a burial for these more recent years, or a newspaper notice.  You can have a look here for some indexed notices, and they have a look-up service (see menu on left side)

Check the Australian resources board at the top of the main RootsChat Australia page for cemetery and death indexes which are available online, or if you want to post the details of the person you are looking for, many people have other resources that they can check for you.

Thanks Debra, I have had a quick look but as I am kinda new to this I'm not sure if I am looking in the right place... So I will give a name and hopefully someone may be able to help me..

1983 is a bit late to get anything from BDM indexes.
Can't find him in the Ryerson Index 1970-2010

Do you have any idea of where in Australia he lived?

I have 2 places where he may have lived 1 being Terrigal area and the other Inverrell area.. His death may have been after 1983 also but Im not sure.....

Hello,
Can't see his death but here is his birth so that we have his parents names 
Wilfred E. BENTLEY b 1910 Blayney- parents-Walter J and Leone M. 12595/1910
He also had at least 2 brothers:
Kenneth J. b 1905 and Mervyn A. b 1908 both in Blayney.

Mervyn Athol BENTLEY  died 1945   WALTER JOHN    LEONE MARIE    NEWTOWN 11011/1945

Walter J. BENTLEY married Leone M BENTLEY 1905 Orange 2040/1905

Wilfred married Dorothy May CORBETT in 1936 at Adelong.  She died in 1980.  I can't access the online electoral rolls at the moment to find Wilfred's occupation.  A Thomas Henry CORBETT also married a Dorothy May in 1939, so you would need to see the death notice.  There is neither a Thomas H or Wilfred E buried at Springwood Cemetery.

This is my nan, she was married to Wilfred but they separated many years before she passed away, He moved away either the Terrigal or Inverell area's,
I found  a tip the other day that Wilfred had passed away in 1983..
Just wanted to see if I could find out if it was true, other wise he would be over 100, still that could be the case hey??
