Wicklow marriages now online

[Wicklow Rose]

RC and Church of Ireland marriage records for Wicklow were added to the RootsIreland/IFHF site yesterday. There's just under 95,000 of them.

Thanks for that Wicklow Rose, I've just bought the records for my gggreat grandmothers three marriages  . Seems like she was a very busy woman!. I've also confirmed that my gggrandparents were first cousins when they married in 1891. Whoever said life was simple back then

I am so excited  I have looked for my g grandparents marriage cert for about 3 years with no luck I had decided they never got married I spent at least 2 days searching in the gro also and hey presto logged on yesterday and found it on the wicklow site I am delighted because it gave me names I didnt have already  fia

Does anyone know when the burial records for Co.Wicklow are likely to appear online?

Availability of these depends on the denomination and parish you are interested in. Very few RC parishes kept death/burial records..

I was hoping to trace William Mouls of Killaveney RC parish. The IFHF site shows there is a burial record for someone of that name in 1829, but it's in Co.Dublin, and his family seem to have still been in Co.Wicklow in the 1830s. So the Dublin burial is unlikely to be his.

Killavaney has a few death/burial records, but these only cover from 1862 to 1867. Not sure if these are included in RootsIreland at the moment - they dont include any in their list of sources.

Next time I visit the National Library of Ireland, I'll take a look. That won't be for quite a while yet, though.
