Samuel Evans tried Lent 1834

Samuel Evans aged 28 was tried and Convicted of Assault with Intent to Rob in Staffordshire on Lent 1834 (11 March 1834). His place of birth was given as Denbighshire, Wales and was sentanced to 14 Years Transportation. Also convicted with him on the same charge was a Charles Evans aged 29 POB the same possibly a brother.

Are there any records available that may confirm that they were actually brothers.

I feel sure I have come across these chaps before... though I can't think why/where, however, I digress.

I don't think they are brothers, Evans being fairly common probably makes it nearly impossible to tell without something concrete to attribute. I assume Samuel is the main man in this...

2 family possibilities for Samuel (IGI submissions) may be more, but these appear closest:
1806 Denbighshire, parents: John Evans & Elizabeth.
1805 Denbighshire, parents: Benjamin Evans & Ann.

Samuel had been busy before the 1834 transportation, if it is the same chap:

1825 in Denbigh' 3 months for 'Larceny', no other details

1833 Oct 18 in Wrexham, Denbighshire. Difficult to work out what happened here, disch, looks like some sort of bail for £25.

Yes Samuel is the main one in my research. I thought they may have been brothers or closely related due to both being tried at the same time. I would be gratefull if you could download information to one of your sites so that I can check it out and contact you when I have done so.
