May I ask where you found those records? I only have access to A******y, and they didn't come up! I searched familysearch too...

I think that Ballard may just be a coincidence... the two marriage records you posted both list Ballard's as witnesses:

Both made their mark
Witnesses Maria Johnson her mark

It's still bugging me, I know I have seen the name elsewhere but can't find it! Am checking censuses for neighbours...

Just to let you know I have now ordered the Marriage Cert for George and Jane, and the baptism records for their Daughter Sophia and Son, Edward.

Hello everyone,

I have now received the Marriage Record for George and Jane; unfortunately it is a 'faithful copy' as they were unable to photocopy the original. It does not list parents names and just says they are both of the parish.

I have also received copies of the Christenings for Sophia and Edward. Father is listed as Calico Printer/Printer on both. If anyone is researching this family and would like a copy, please PM me with your email and I will send you a copy.
