N.M Hargreaves of Nelson, Lancs
« on: Wednesday 08 June 11 12:39 BST (UK) »
Hi I'm looking for anyone with information or a connection or how I could connect with the above lady.

I have the death cert of a Arthur Joseph Going, died 1954 - at the time he owned / lived at the Lamb and Flag pub, St Giles Oxford.

H.M Hargreaves was present at death and is stated as his Step daughter. At that time she lived at rakes House Rd, Nelson, Lancs.

any help would be appreciated.
regards
Brendan

I was just about to ask the same question  ;D

I was trying to find his wife but there are no Going`s who died in Oxfordshire from 1916 - 2005 apart from Arthur.  So I tried Lancashire where there were only 4.  Oddly enough there is one in Nelson of a Constance N Going aged 73 in 1956.  I wonder if she went to live with her daughter? Clutching at straws I know, but I thought I would mention it.

Hi all,

To save duplication of effort, I have just been looking at BG`s old posts and believe he is wanting to "go forward" rather than backwards.  I think he has all the early information on Arthur and family.

Mosie,
if he has all the information on Arthur does he have his marriage and then it may be easier to work out who the stepdaughter is,

Hiya,

I honestly don`t know if he has the marriage - the posts don`t mention anything.  Nothing is showing up is it?  It could have been abroad as the address that his WW1 medals went to was in Georgetown, Demerara, British Guiana  ::)  I can find him going there, but I can`t find him coming back.

Another question.
Was an occupation given for Arthur on the death cert which might indicate if he was the landlord of the Lamb & Flag or just a visitor?
