Crondall, Hampshire records
« on: Tuesday 07 June 11 14:53 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the biths for John Hoare (e) and his wife Elizabeth Berry who were married in Crondall, Hampshire on 7 May 1759, later I believe they moved to Stapleton, Gloucestershire where John died in 1797, I would be very grateful for the help.

Kind Regards
Beth

Beth,

I saw this article in the Hampshire Advertiser, just short one about Crondall and wondered if it is something to do with this thread. I know it's a bit later than your John Hoare.

WINCHESTER, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 1815 .
Hampshire Telegraph and Sussex Chronicle,  Monday, November 20, 1815

"A few days since died, at Crondall,  in this County, Mr. J. Hoare, many years schoolmaster at that place.

John Hoar was born in Cliddesden, Hampshire in 1722.  Elizabeth Berry was born in 1725.
They were married on May 7, 1759.
John Hoar was my 5x great grandfather.

Regard,

John Hoar was christened on Oct.11, 1722 in Cliddesden church.  His parents were John Hoar (born 1695) and Jane Hankin (born 1699)

Elizabeth Berry's father was John Berry (born 1695).  As yet I have been unable to trace her mother.
