Holy Trinity, Shaw, Oldham
« on: Monday 06 June 11 03:27 BST (UK) »
Hi Guys, some time ago i located, with the help of some rootchaters, the grave of a relative - Lydia Duckworth Nee Winterbottom at Holy Trinity Churchyard, Shaw, Oldham. Upon visiting the church i found no gravestone but i did come across the grave (and Gravestone) of two Winterbottoms in the same grave. Very stupidly i made no record of the gravestone or the names of those on the headstone...now on reflection i wonder if this may be Lydias grave too (as her grave number was not recorded) and if those named on the headstone were her parents - I know now her father was named James Winterbottom.

Does anyone live near the church who can tell me what the inscription says please? Its the only Winterbottom headstne and i recall it being near to the road at the front of the church.

Thanks for your time guys!

Luke
