The Loundes girl who died aged 21 was Edith Elizabeth Loundes b. abt. 1894, died 2 May 1915, she was the daughter of Alfred Loundes and Edith Charlotte Roberts.  The three of them are buried together in Dudley Cemetery, Section F , grave 1019.

If you have any questions, don't worry about asking, I am happy to help if I can   :)

Was telling my parents.
my cousin and I are trying to sort out the loundes web, on my nans marriage certificate it spelt as lowndes think registrars got it wrong, the archives have said if you get a diseprency on yrs of birth it is because if a child died parents would name the next one the same and not reregister.
if you are happy to give me your e.mail
or live near lye would love to catch up more info and show you photos of my nan and the sister who died x

I. Am led to believe she died of a head problem, the photo I have is of her and a WW1 soldier by her side and my uncle had said she was engaged to him and she died after the photo was taken , dad has given a name for the soldier but not 100% x

Hi Tina, I have spellings of the name as Loundes/Lounds/Lowndes/Lownds and a few others on various records.  Often the registrar wrote down what he heard and spelled it as he thought correct, so we have to make allowances for these variations and it is not an indication of a change in the family name.

Unfortunately I am not on Facebook, but I will send you an email.

If you can give us the name your dad remembers for the soldier and any clue to the regiment from the photo (or even scan and post the photo here), we may be able to track him down.
