Well i think you're on a roll here! Brilliant when things fall together! I've just had a chuckle about warwickshire , we may be closing in on another of my lines, i.e. in the fazeley area, maternal line and paternal have links in the area. My dads lot came from great wyrley and cheslyn hay and i'm finding that many connections between the lines(little villages, small gene pool), i like it when it broadens out.  I've been dealing with big families and not very imaginative with names.  I already have one mason(alexander s) from wolvo in mytree, i know there's some over great wyrley, i wonder whether they will link up.I'm alternating between laughing and groaning!  I meant to mention in my email about the lock museum but i needed to look back over the marriage.  I'm from walsalloriginally stafford street till i was 18 months, then blakenall, river estate by goscote and now west brom but mom lives at bloxwich.

What do you make of this for a possible for the Darlows in 1851 living in Sandy, Beds.  Surname is wrong but other details fit.  Transcribed as Daniell but original image reads Darnill.  They have kids Charles, George & Frederick.

Joseph, head,  1818 Sandy, Beds. Ag Lab.
Sophia, wife, 1820 Riseley, beds
William, son, 1837 Sandy
Eliza, daur, 1842 Sandy
Charles, son 1844 Sandy
George, son 1846 Sandy
Frederick, son, 1850 Sandy
Elizabeth Bays, daughter in law, 1842, Riseley

Maybe Bays should be BASS, as in Sophia's maiden name. She was born same place as Sophia.  I've seen step daughters described as daughter in law.

Oh no, here we go again with the jail birds.

In 1861 Elizabeth Bass b 1842 Riseley is in prison, Bedfordshire County Gaol  ::)

She was convicted on 8 Mar 1861 for Burglary (and whipped).  No mis-read the image, not whipped but imprisoned for 15 months.

There's 2 christenings on family search when looking for edward.
edward lounds   birth 10 nov 1815 parents john lownds and mary  bap 30 th july 1825 which is too early.
edward lowndes     alton staffs 22/2/1829 parents joseph lownds  and elizabeth. There may be more in the parish records. Where would the parish records for edward be? Birmingham?
