John WRAY c 1833 Ireland
« on: Saturday 04 June 11 06:07 BST (UK) »
Looking for the baptism of John Wray (Church of Ireland) son of Thomas Wray and Mary Morton about 1833 somewhere in Ireland possibly Fermanagh or Donegal. According to family stories John Wray left Ireland in early 1843 and arrived in Belleville Ontario Canada on 1 September, 1843 where he joined his Morton Uncles.  A few years later John Wray headed for the USA.  What became of him?

The nearest match I can find is a John Wray b.1832 father Thomas baptised in Convoy PR Church Donegal BUT his mother is Eliza Black.

There are a couple of other births here  http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~donegal/convoypres.htm

A couple of these Wrays went to America.

Thank you.  I had a close look at him but unfortunately he's not the one.  Different mother.
