Framlingham HOWARDS/HAYWARDS
« on: Friday 03 June 11 19:50 BST (UK) »
Could anyone with access to Framlington PRs check to see of there are any Howards / Haywards births listed in the 1790s?

Many thanks
Mike

I have FRAMLINGHAM PRs  ;D

Have you looked at http://framlinghamarchive.org.uk lately for photographs of old Framlingham?

LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?

Yes - it's an excellent site :)

I had hoped they would have transcripts on there but they don't seem to :(

I wish more villages had good dedicated sites - though more are starting to spring up  ;D

edit... aaahhh... just realised my typo :-[

now corrected  :D

We are continually adding to the website, I have a batch of photographs to add right now.  We shall be adding some of the James Breeze collection of letterheads of businesses in Framlingham when time allows.
When we are both fully retired we hope to do more - we have not put any transcripts etc on the web site as it is not that sort of website.  We have to consider copyright etc.

However, it is something to bear in mind for the future.

Will have a look for your Howards now  :D

Many thanks Pat - certainly confirms my suspicion that Howard and Hayward names got confused!!!  :D

I am pretty sure now that some of these are the folks that later moved into the Dennington / Brundish area...  :)

In family history confusion reigns  ;D

I have many Bridges/Brydges and Fruer/Frewer - all within same family - all depended on who wrote what  ::)

Good luck with the Dennington and Brundish searches.
