Please please could anyone help i have tried and tried to find out when William Mckie Johnson died, he was born 1835 in Northumberland and lived in Cumberland in 1881, i believe he must of died after the cesus and before 1883 as his wife remarried in 1882 and had another child, but i have searched records and can not find him. any hints as to how i find him please.... :'(

He could well be this one.  The two names were virtually interchangeable in those days-

Deaths Jun 1882 
JOHNSTON    William    45    Whitehaven    10b   360

I can't see any other WJs in the Whitehaven district.  :-\
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
