Hi, My wife Sandra Gailey is the descendant of an Elizabeth Vaughan of Rockfield who married William Gailey of Monmouth in Rockfield on 13.10.1788. Elizabeth signed the Register with a "X". I am exploring as to whether this Elizabeth if the granddaughter of Joseph Vaughan and Ann Price.

Hi, Further to my earlier post, This entry refers to my wife Sandra's ancestors. This is an entry in the Monmouth Catholic Register of St. Pauls, Perthir. 
"1804 Aug. 6 born and 12 bap. John son of William Gayly and Elizabeth (Vaughan.) vSpons : William Price, Elizabeth Thomas. By G. Gildart. "
May I suggest that William Price and Elizabeth Thomas were cousins.

Sorry James, I have no record of Gayley/Gailey. The Vaughans of Rockfield seem to have been prolific though.
