Meggy,

Fantastic stuff.

Tom McMeeking was my Great Uncle.
I can remember him sitting on the benches at the old Bo'ness Bus Station at Corbiehall smoking his pipe. A quiet unassuming man, my Granny's brother.
I only discovered that he was a Royal Marine Commando at his funeral. A real war hero, he fought on the beaches at Normandy.
I've been after his service number for a while, this is great news.
William was either his brother or his father. No ages mentioned?

Most of the Rooneys you mention are also relations, including my great grandfather Hugh Rooney.

Sorry to be a pain but it would be great to get the details of the rest of them.

It would be also really helpful if you could also transcribe the Stanners entries as well, if you have the time.

Thanks again.

AG
