The National Library  in Wellington has The Press Newspaper. Might be worth it to see if someone can go look there for you.

Cool, thanks Newbie.

Update on name though - found a couple of women (and one man) with my first name  :o

too bad it's first AND last cause one of them was up for public drunkeness and it wasn't the bloke.  Dad reckons the bloke was probably a typo  ;)

Still, thanks to the competition I found a lovely article about a fundraiser for the Wounded Soldiers Fun in 1916 which my Great Grandmother and her furture husband attended.

Buzzing about that find!

Hi there,

Just wondering if there is any chance of the Lyttelton Times been extended from 1862. I know we have it at Christchurch library but  not able to access it at this time.  I am looking for years 1864, 1866, 1872, and 1874

Cheers

I'll ask about this for you at our next selection meeting :-)

Hi kiwigirl - the result doesn't have to have your first AND your last name, either is fine to enter. We just want to see the best articles for entries :-) Either name is totally fine.
