Hi Papers Past,

Any chance of the Franklin Times appearing on line?

Can you tell us if any other South Island papers are coming on line any time soon ?

We should have something online coming up in the next few months. Sadly, not "The Press", I hasten to add, but a noteworthy addition nonetheless.

It's on our long-distance radar, you are the very first person to request it.

... the Northland Papers? ie Wairoa Bell, or North Auckland Times? I know that the Dargaville museum hold hard copies of the latter.

percy porter: Would you like me to note those two titles as "requested" for our next papers past selection meeting?

Please add my vote for Northland papers, especially The Wairoa Bell, 'cos my gr-grandfather owned it!  ;)

It's positively wonderful having the Auckland Star, but I'd also like to request any post-1900 Auckland publications, er ... apart from Truth
(It cracks me up seeing it now — it used to be banned at home.  :D)

Cheers
