Need to go to advanced search/refine and put a tick

I would like to also mention that Papers Past material is now also searchable via DigitalNZ, which presents a different way to search through PP material. It is not yet full-text, so for queries involving names within body text it won't enable anything new, but for searching through images it can provide some very interesting results.
For example, try copy and pasting this URL into the address bar, but replace the word "donkey" at the end with a search term of your choice:

http://search.digitalnz.org/en/search?commit=Search&facet_limit=5&filter[category]=Images&filter[collection]=Papers+Past&filter[content_partner]=National+Library+of+New+Zealand&filter[placename]=New+Zealand&page=1&search_text=donkey

It can make tracking down specific image results much quicker. Also, it's always good to have another tool in the arsenal, just in case.

Hi everyone, I've been catching up on posts, and realised I should let you all know about our content updates this year.

We aim to do four updates every 12 months, and we are not far off doing our third since december at the moment, because we've been pretty busy. A few weeks ago we did our first collaborative release, with external libraries and community groups helping to pay for digitisation of historic local titles - some were new to Papers Past, and a few were extensions to the existing collection (note that Bay of Plenty Times now goes up to 1920, for example).

We have recently announced our collaborative agreement with Auckland City Libraries, who happen to hold a lot of microfilms of the Auckland Evening Star, the NZ Herald, and other titles.
We are aiming to do another release within the next month, and one more ahead of Family History Month, and we hope that these releases will be as useful to you all as they are significant to us.

Once we have a firm (-ish) date for the next release, I'll let you all know -

Regards,

Emerson

Now, that is something to really look forward to.   :D

The PapersPast archive is absolutely wonderful!  I've learned so much about my family which I'd never have known without it.

A very big THANK YOU.
