Murphy Patrick b 1811 Murphy John b 1836

John was born 5 Feb 1838 in Ireland, family history says Roscommon.  All we know is he came to Michigan in 1866 to be with his step father.  His step father Patrick Murphy was born 1811.  At the time of his death he was married to Margret Hoare.  They had 5 children all listed as being born in Ireland.  The last was born in 1863.  I would love to know who John's mother and real father were!

Just wanted to know how you are connected to John Murphy. I would also love to solve who his parents were. Some people say Patrick was his father and others say Patrick was John's step father. I am a descendant of Patrick and Margaret's daughter Mary Ellen Murphy. How is your research going on the Murphy family?
