My brother and I (again!) ..... a little colour please!
« on: Saturday 28 May 11 11:12 BST (UK) »
Hi to you lovely restorers,
I've managed to scan this photo at 300 thingies so although it's small (actual size) I hope it's enough to have an even better result (Irene?).

My dress is red and white, brother's cardigan is light blue, white dress, pastel background (Mum can't remember what colour!), we're both fair with golden blonde hair, blue eyes.

Thank you very much in advance..........

kind regards,
Kim

Quite frankly everyone, I have no idea what I'm doing.............why is the photo now an attachment???

The reason it is an attachment is because it is a .pdf file.

Thanks for the info Tim...............don't know how I managed that!!?

Anyway.....the photo looks absolutely lovely, my only criticism would be that the dress isn't red enough.  It really was a red and white dress rather than orange/pink etc etc.  Would it be possible for you to correct the colour?  Otherwise (I hope I don't sound ungrateful, I hope you know I am completely grateful), the photo is perfect.  Many many thanks for your time,
kindest regards,
Kim

GUIDE FOR PHOTO RESTORATIONS PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR SCANNER BED IS CLEAN AND SCAN AT A RESOLUTION OF 300-600 WITH THE SCALE AT 100% MINIMUM.

If you would like a coloured version, details such as hair colour , eyes and clothing etc.  if known  would be helpful to restorers

Hi Kim,

I am looking for ancestrykim...would that be you?  I am Olive Gibbons Hissa's grandaughter Shari.  My mother is "Bambi" who's real name is Nannette.  My grandfather Martin passed away when my mom was a little girl.  My Nana, Olive, who I have to say, I love and adored more than any other, was an Orphan in England - Croydon.  She was sent to Canada (I thought at 16 but your post would indicate 15).  My aunitie Barb died of lung cancer about 10 years ago and my Uncle Bill - Wiliiam Stevenson - still lives in London Ontario.  My Nana, Olive, actually had 4 children not 3...Martin, Barbara, Dianne and Nannette (Bambi) my mom.  Please email me at * if I have the correct person.  I am 45 years old.  I  know my Nana (Olive) had three sisters and brother who disappeared in WW1 or 11?  One of my Nana's sister's was named Rose. I do hope to hear from you.  How exciting!  BTW...I live in Winnipeg Canada and have 3 daughters of my own.  I always thought it interesting that I was one of three girls, my mom was one of three girls, my Nana was one of three girls and I have 3 girls myself...and if there was a fourth...it was always a boy:)

Sincerely,
Shari(*)
