Yes, I think she may well have done that, so I guess I'll have to beg a look up on the American board. :o.
A relative of Susan got in touch with me, he knows Susan was married at least twice and lived in America so it is entirely possible that Minnie joined her. I've just had a trawl on the 1911 census, but the list has now grown too long to spend much time on right now.
I'll keep on digging though, someone might see this post and get a light bulb moment.

I have found the name transcribed as Ocomore/Occomore/Occomond/Occemore
According to the site at LAC
Susan Ocomore, age 12
arrive 07 July 1888, Quebec with destination Hamilton
Comments
Mrs. Evans, Matron, in charge of party of 48 girls for Rev. Dr. Stephenson at Hamilton.

On the 1891 Census, Minnie was living with James and Jane Stott, Hamilton (you already have this information) The next family is surname Crossen.

I went to
http://ocfa.islandnet.com
did a search for Stott
James Stott, husband of Jane Crossen
Jane Stott (Crossen) w/o James
Other Stott and Crossen families are buried at Cobourg Union, Northumberland County, Hamilton Township. I didn't find a listing for Minnie under either Stott or Occomore/Ocomore but if she died while living with the Stott family she will probably be buried there.

Patricia,
I don't mean to jump track in your search for Occomore but I have a simple question from a post six years ago.  I'm sure you don't remember but this was your request:
   Orlingbury: Church of St Mary
« on: Tuesday 20 December 05 18:19 GMT (UK) »
Would anyone have time to photograph the brasses that are in St Mary's Church Orlingbury?
They are for William and Elizabeth Lane (Circa 1502) and are located in the floor of the South Transept.
I am willing to pay for your time.
Thanks                 Patricia

My question: Did you ever get anyone to photograph the brasses and, if so, can you share them?  I'm an American biography writer searching up the branches of a friend's family tree, specifically the Lane family.  William and Elizabeth are in that line but tangled it is.  I'm specifically searching Sir Ralph Lane, grandson of William and Elizabeth, who married Maud Parr, Queen Catherine's first cousin.  Catherine, of course, was Henry VIII's sixth and last wife.
Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks, Leonardo

Sorry , Thank you for that information.
Here is my responce to Leonardo.

" As far as I know the archives in Northampton have a lot of information, which if you are writing a book you will probably need to go and search them. A lot of the information posted on the web is full of errors and guesswork.
I do have the photos provided by the incumbent of the church of St Mary Orlingbury, who took the photos for me, for which I made a donation to the church.
As you are wanting  to use these photos for financial gain may I suggest you contact him explaining this and get his written permission for me to pass them on to you. I would hate to be sued over copyright issues.
Patricia"
