Trying to trace the family of Rogersons at Alton or Eighton banks

If anyone can tell me where to look I would be grateful.

Hi Moggie27 and welcome to RootsChat.  I assume you are trying to go backwards here and as you seem to know he was born in 1775 I think you may have a bit more information you could perhaps share with us?  Do you know who and when he married, the names and dates of any children? Have you checked to see if he appears on any censuses?

I do have the following info.  Sorry new to this but decided to do the tree after finding out my mother did not want to tell us children of her relatives, there are reasons but now old hat.

Michael Rogerson 1775 about.

He married Elizabeth Albons 7 January 1798 in Lamesley.  She was born about 1777.

They had a child Philip roughly 4 November 1798 in Ayton Bank Durham.

I have heard of a Thomas Rogerson of the same time and did wonder if they were brothers.

I honestly do not know how to begin and a fledgling of 69.

There seems to be quite a few trees of Rogersons in Ayton Bank or Eighton Bank and I feel they must be connected somewhere.

Love to you all

My honest dream is to go back to around 1700 wiht all the branches and if I find a live relative that would be a bargain
