Please can anyone tell me the meaning of Paragraph 1805 ( 5) which is given  as reason for discharge on payment of £10 which was only one week after Attestation in January 1906 ?

Kings Regulations, para 1805 (v) is " Having claimed it on payment of £10 within three months after his attestation - At home or abroad".

After three months it was £20. He should have joined the Militia first to see if he could take to army life. Discharge by purchase from the Militia only cost £1 or £2.
