Found two Fried Fish Dealers in Heneage Rd

H Beecham 262, Heneage Rd in 1930

Alan J Moy  97 Heneage Rd in 1935/6
in 1930 he was at 26 Nacton Street.

Any help?

If you look carefully at your pic, you can see the carved decoration above the door of 265 http://tinyurl.com/3s8prz9

Note: Harry BEECHAM was 18 in 1911.

Hi Geoff,

it certainly looks as if 263 could be the property we're looking for. Having searched for Beechams', I've come across Herbert Beecham, born in 1884 in Boston. In 1891, he lived at 17, Clayton Street, Grimsby, and in 1901 his residence was 195, Willingham Street, Grimsby. Haven't checked 1911 yet.

Only thing I'm not convinced about is his age. If born in 1884, he would have been approx. 46 years old in the photograph. I have to say he looks quite a bit older than that! Will continue to search.

I remember Ladds having a fish and chip shop on Boston High Street in the 1950s and 60s. Any connection?

The only problem is, if it's Harry Beecham, (Born 1893- Grimsby) he's approximately 37 years old in the photo. Could have had a hard life, I suppose!
