Undercliffe cemetery is likely but by no means the only possibility.
You could try writing to the staff of the local history department Bradford Central Library. They are very helpful and if you have a date they might do a look-up for you.

Silsbridge Lane, Bradford is just  off Grattan Road above  Thornton Road main road out of Bradford (Google map it.) in the city of Bradford
Therefore I would think the St Peter's church ( Now Bradford Cathedral) is the most likely place of burial.

Blackburns memoriels inscriptions may have it at the Library.

What is the name of this ancestor as we maybe able to look it up!
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi Dobfarm

His name was Joseph Barrett and he died 19 June 1879.  He was married at Bradford Cathedral but I didn't know they still did burials there in 1879.  If you could look it up that would be brilliant thanks!

Thanks.  I've emailed the library and I'll see what comes back, if anything!  Can't hurt to ask can it?

Hi sandra, think it's been mentioned before but scholemoor cemetery, necroplolis road, bradford could be a possible, if you ring them on bfd 01274571313 (weekdays) they will check for you and tell you if joseph's grave is in there, another possible is Thornton graveyard, Thornton road, bradford. good luck
