Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg
« on: Saturday 21 May 11 10:01 BST (UK) »
I live in the UK and I appreciate this may be asking too much but I was wondering if someone could get me a photo of my great granfather's sisters burial plot.
She was buried in Section 12 Lot No. 15 of Brookside Cemetery in late January 1900
- name Lucy Angell
I appreciate that there will probably not be a headstone on the plot as she was only in her mid twenties, a domestic servant and only been in Canada for about seven years.

Any help would be appreciated

Hello:
I have searched through all three Winnipeg cemeteries without success.
You can contact.http://www.winnipeg.ca/ppd/cemetery_brookside_alpha.stm
You can request a genealogical search - but I think it does bear a cost.
Within Brookside, look to the right side to the words "genealogical search"
PS - my great grannie is in this cemetery!

Hello Ray

I'm happy that you were finally able to find the burial information for Lucy.

If there are no Rootschatters in Winnipeg who can take a photo of the burial plot, you could try contacting the RAOGK website...there are a couple of volunteers in Winnipeg.

Good luck.

Ray,

Lucy Angell was my Great Aunt. I can give you information about her family. Please contact me at jbc"at"presto"dot"co"dot"uk.
I think I also saw on another post you had an interest in the Pope family from Wedmore. I also have info for you here.

If you're still looking for a photo of the gravesite I'll do it for you.  We'll be going to Brookside this weekend.
