Hello Tish...

This may come under the "etc" you mentioned. If you can't do it it's not a problem.

Could I have a photograph/details of "Certificate of Competency no.396 - Master Ordinary" issued to Edward PETERSON in Dunedin on 24 Sept 1884

http://archway.archives.govt.nz/ViewFullItem.do?code=14557082
Certificates of Competency - Master - Ordinary   1882 - 1885

If it's not in the volume I've linked to don't bother hunting for it. I'll leave it for another day :-)

Thanks very much
Beg

Hey twiggytree.

there was no J48/21, i searched the indexs and looked up the index for the year 1948

There was nothing that i saw listed under L

Are you certain of the year of death and spelling of the last name??

Linda_J reminded me to look for the digitisation I previously requested and it is there - thanks Tish.

Have another request, in the Coroners Records this time

So the index is J 48/21 in the Registers Room

The year is 1948

The name is Patrick Ernest LANGVAD

DOD 23 August 1948

So the file request will be something like J 46 1948/##

Yes, surname is correct.  Date of death is straight from BDMHR.
...out of, through, and back from New Zealand to the ends of the Earth

FRYER - MITCHELL - DUKE - WHYTE - McDONALD - TAYLOR - CARPENTER - HARRIS - WILLIAMS - CUNNINGHAME - LUCAS - WHITE - BOTHAM - HOLDAWAY - EYLES - OLSEN - CHASE - TRAILL - BAGGS - HASKINS - EDWARDS - CHING - SHIELDS - POLLARD - HOGAN - SMITH - STANLEY - HALL - ROBERTS - LARKHAM
