Could I suggest this:  http://www.trademe.co.nz/Community/MessageBoard/Threads.aspx?topic=40

I have never looked but Trade Me has a very large community and there may be someone from Dunedin on this board.  Surely someone down there knows how to get archives.  Worth a try (unless this has been tried already).

Edit... I see you know about this already Angelbaby - you are on there!!!

he was a 24 yr old Bacherlor and she was a 23 yr old spinster, his occupation was VERY hard to read, we all struggled with it :( but we THINK and thats a very very very big THINK, a saddle-maker mangager lol or something that effect....def was a SADD it was a long word, and then a esperate word underneath was manager or mayor or something M ...i have a black on white print out but its pretty scummy...are you in NZ? i can post it, otherwise ill find someone to scan it for you....he lived in wakefield st (? i couldnt see this, but two others read it as this ) duration at dwelling 12 months, she lived in Wellington Street ( again i couldnt see this but two others did ) and her duration at the dwelling was 3 months.
Intended place of marriage: the dwelling place of John K? ( his name was IMPOSSIBLE to make out, perhaps, KERR, KUME, HUME? something along those lines, perhaps you will have an idea.....John was a builder though. lol.  ITM filed 11 December 1861, marriage date would be 3 months from that date....

and also

Jericho, i managed to squeezie in GLOVER, Frederica Josephine

I have your email addy on hand, so will send that through when i come back from picking up my car from the mechanic ( :(  )

Hi Tish,

Thanks your a GEM,when I got Frederica husband William probate a few weeks it only mentioned his wife Frederica, yet her's gave me a son name which is great as I don't have any of that information. Some times it does pay to go that extra mile.   Thanks
