Thank you for that, very much appreciated.

If I can do anything for you down this way in Otago/Southland let me know.  Will be back through Dunedin in aprox 3 weeks and could call past Archives NZ if you require anything.

Tish, I neglected to mention in my PM that the probate file for Vera Margaret Barron proved to be a veritable gold mine of genealogical information.  Seven new ancestors to hang on my tree!   ;D

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Greetings

If anyone is going to Archives in Wellington in the near future, I would very much appreciate an ITM lookup for Susan Ann Woodgate to William Thomas Humphrey who married in Picton on the 21st March 1879.

With thanks

Hi Annie.

I did your ITM lookup for Susan Anne and William Thomas Humphrey. ( although she is listed as susanna on BDM online.. )

It was filed on the 21 February 1879,  he was a 23yr old bachelor and a labourer and she was a 19 yr old spinster and a servant.  They lived in Picton and at the time of filing, he had only lived there 4 days and she had been there 1 month, there were married at the Picton registry office, their folio number for their marriage certificate is 79/330  ( could be 320 ) and they married on the 12 March 1879.

Im wondering if she remarried a Henry Sykes? there is a Susan Ann Woodgate marrying in 1906 to a Henry Sykes. ( Bdm online )

Cheers
Tish
