Found this which regarding the Tenant of Kirk Ella Grange - this would mean that Kirk Ella Grange was not in the hands of tenancy of Watson at this time

and could also mean that Joseph Watson 1740 ish didn't farm there either.

Now to backtrack a little with ref to Pankpop's info..
Let’s start with Joseph Watson, b. West Ella 1785 d. Kirk Ella 1855. He farmed at Kirk Ella Grange and the first time I can pick him up on records is in the 1834 Voters Roll, where he is recorded as farming 50 acres at Kirk Ella Grange. this is after the Enclosure Act of 1824 as in doc's DDBD Ferriby, Swanland, Kirk Ella, West Ella and Willerby Enclosure Act 1824;
I wonder if there is mention as to who had the property in 1824
William Watson, Farmer,
West Ella listed in Baines's Directory 1823 for Kirk Ella, so this is before Pankpop found him on the 1834 Voters Roll. So sometime between 1823-1834 he moved from a farm in West Ella to Kirk Ella Grange
OR they are two different people

1857 sees Joseph Watson listed at Grange, Kirk Ella in Baines's Directory 1857.
