Hi Pankpop
The link to Henry W and his Will does not work, I have read it, will copy it here for others to read.

Collection   DDKE   KIRK ELLA ESTATE PAPERS (PROPERTY OF JOSEPH SYKES)
Series   DDKE/8   Kirk Ella Estate (Kirk Ella; West Ella; Ferriby; Swanland; Willerby)
DDKE/8/41     10 August - 12 November 1720
(b) Will of Henry Watson of Swanland. Bequests to sons Henry, John, William, Thomas and Samuel; daughters Mary and Margaret: farm in Swanland. 3 closes at Seaton. Close and 10ac. in fields of Kirk Ella and West Ella: Witnessed James Fox, Elizabeth Watson, Timothy Williamson. 10 August 1720. Probate 25 September 1723.

As for the info on Swanland, I have never come across that before, tis fascinating.
It mentions Henry Watson as Overseer for Swanland in North Ferriby Church Book 1695, maybe we should turn our sights to Registrations there.. I have had a quick look on familysearch.org   Watson are listed, alas no Joseph  ::)

This family of Henry Watson is  "boggling"...   off to bed now...

Interesting historical account of the Independent Chapel at Swanland here:
http://www.swanlander.karoo.net/O5.htm

I read somewhere that only baptisms were allowed to be registered at the Independent Chapel in Swanland and that marriages and burials had to be conducted at one of the nearby parishes of North Ferriby, Kirk Ella or Rowley. So perhaps that explains why Joseph Watson and Elizabeth Forge married at Rowley and why they may still be part of the larger Watson family of Swanland.

Morning Pankpop
Interesting info, especially only Bap allowed at Ind Swanland.
I recall looking through the register page by page of Kirk Ella and noting some pages missing on the original, will have another look at it and see if it will fit in with Joseph Watson c 1740 ish.

Noting from the Will of Henry Watson a witness is Elizabeth, this could be his wife ??? but alas I have searched for a marriage with these names with no success.

So now a search for Bap for William Watson c 1768 ish.

Baptism @ Seamer.  Looking at marriage details this would be their first born so maybe she was taken to her mothers home for baptism.  There dosen't appear to be any more siblings for this area.  There is other Watson 1710 and later 1770/80 but nothing inbetween.
Also note, if this is the correct Henry Watson then his next born was 1759 Swanland  and last born 1770 making 32 yrs for childbearing, unless his first wife died and he remarried to another Mary ???

Isabell Watson
Baptism date:   15 Oct 1738   Place:   SEAMER NEAR SCARBOROUGH,YORK,ENGLAND
Father:   Henry Watson
Indexing No:   C10618-2   System:   England-ODM         Film No:   919209
