Swann in Willesden
« on: Monday 16 May 11 18:42 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am searching for a Majorie Edith Swann married in 1938 to a James Walsh.

She is 25 years old and a spinster at time of marriage  - born about 1913 - but don't know where.

She has no occupation at time of marriage.

Her father is named James Arthur Swann but no occupation is listed for him either.

She is living in Willesden in 1938 but that is absolutely all the information I have at present.

Found a couple of Swann families in Willesden in 1901/1911 but Majorie is not listed as they are too early.  If anyone has got any info, would love to hear from you.

Thanks

Martha

Do you know when and where she died?

If it was after 1969 her DOB should be given,if before then just her age.

Did she die as a Walsh?

Hi

Thanks for the birth & marriage.  I had seen the Swann/Watkins marriage but it is after Majorie's birth - although of course she may have lied about her age when she married!

Unfortunately Carol I have no idea if she remained a Walsh or indeed got married again.  She seems to have disappeared from our late grandfather's life in the 1930's and never spoken of again - so we don't know what happened to her.

The two witnesses were A W Vincent & ? W Bone -  looks like J W Bone.

Thank you
M

Hi,
Is it possible she is really Edith Marjorie Swann. There are several born c 1913 in London registration districts.

Possible birth ref Edith M Swann March q 1912 Camberwell 1d 1789 mothers maiden name MAHONEY. Theres a Swann/Mahoney marriage 1907 Camberwell. Must stress only possibles.

That 1907 marriage is for an Arthur Albert Swan amd her dad's name was James Arthur- so probbaly not the right one!
